Temple suffered a 22-13 defeat against Penn State University on September 25. It was the closest game in the series since then #11 Penn State toppled Temple, 27-25, in 1985. It also marked the first time Temple led at any point in a game against their in-state rivals during the Nittany Lions’ Big Ten era (since 1993). Slideshow by TTN Photographer John Mehler.

On Sept. 24, students crowded behind yellow caution tape after hearing gun shots near Main Campus. Campus police confirmed that two juveniles, who are not Temple students, were shot at approximately 10 p.m., by Broad and Jefferson streets near Main Campus.
