Metro-chic buys for any budget

Posted on 28 August 2007 by admin

In the country’s sixth-largest city, there are a lot of places to shop. And unfortunately, when I first moved to Philadelphia, I wasted a lot of time in stores that were distasteful, overpriced
and devoid of anything resembling decent fashion.
On the bright side, after years of perusing through racks at dozens of stores in Center City [...]

Racy Tracy

Posted on 28 August 2007 by admin

Temple tried something Saturday night.
Students were treated to a free performance by comedian Tracy Morgan. Of course, having free concerts and shows to give students something to do other than drinking is regular fare at most campuses. It didn’t go so well here.
After starting 40 minutes later than scheduled, Tracy Morgan received a warm welcome [...]

You definitely returned those books you used for your anthropology paper months ago. [...]

After graduating in 2004, Theo Maes headed back to Illinois to teach recreational gymnastics and work with the men’s and women’s club teams at Northwestern
University in Evanston. It was an e-mail from his old coach Fred Turoff that brought Maes back to Temple.

Too much to cram for finals

Posted on 01 May 2007 by admin

Finals week is upon us and the student body is in rare form. Students are dusting off $80 textbooks they haven’t used all year and are attempting to teach themselves an entire semester’s worth of material in a few short days. Instead of being filled with cheap liquor and bad decisions, Friday and Saturday nights [...]

Rocky Road

Posted on 01 May 2007 by admin

It’s becoming increasingly harder to remain a day tripper with the sound of some music festivals in the distance. It’s also becoming harder to distinguish some of them from an uninhibited form of summer camp.
Meeting new people, loving the headliners, falling for new artists, camping out and just having a wild time are parts of [...]
