Housing rates on the rise

With more students living on campus, the Board of Trustees has voted to raise the rates for housing to fund the demand.

The cost of housing will be going up for students living on campus.
Patrick J. O’Connor, the student affairs committee chairman, announced a motion to increase housing rates by 4.75 percent for the 2008-2009 school year.

Trustees approve upgrades

The Board of Trustees Facilities Committee announced Feb. 28 that it would approve funding for the completion of the lower level and atrium of the new Tyler School of Art building, currently under construction.
Also announced were plans for a complete renovation of Temple Towers and an 18,000 square-foot addition to Presser Hall.

Trustee’s company faces suit

Cephalon Inc., the biotechnology company founded by Temple trustee and alumnus Frank Baldino, Jr., is being sued by the Federal Trade Commission for what it calls “anti-competitive conduct.”
