Lewis Katz Memorial

A memorial for Lewis Katz was held at the Temple Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, June 4, 2014.

Bethel Burial Ground

Underneath the Weccacoe Playground, located on the 400 block of Queen St in South Philadelphia, remains an African-American burial ground formerly known as the Bethel Burial Ground. Thousands of bodies were buried at this location in the late 1800’s, many of them including children. Today, it serves as a neighborhood playground. Historian Terry Buckalew advocates to remove the building on the property in order to pay respect to those who had died.

Temple Baseball at UConn

Temple defeated the UConn Huskies Friday afternoon, 7-4 in 14 innings at JO Christian Field in Storrs, Connecticut.
