Halftime speeches are underrated.
The women’s basketball team played a sloppy first half against Ball State Wednesday, and held a slim lead over the Cardinals at the break.

In coach Bob Bertucci’s 13 seasons at Temple, he has never experienced a season like this.
The Owls have posted 20 or more wins in nine seasons and have earned four NCAA tournament bids, reaching the Sweet 16 in 2002.

Defense king on Homecoming

The football team’s defense has a motto before every third down play: Get off the field, get off the field.

Tourneys prove difficult

Bob Bertucci knew exactly what he was doing when he made this season’s volleyball schedule.
The coach figured opening the season with five tournaments would be a learning experience for his freshmen-laden team.

The women’s tennis team is trying to get closer to an Atlantic Ten Conference championship.
New coach Jill Breslin was looking to get closer to home.
