Shut out on Senior Day

Posted on 23 October 2007 by Joe Polinsky

This wasn’t the ending seniors Kersha Walker, Debbie Painter and Kelly Lare imagined happening on Senior Day.
The women’s soccer team didn’t have enough fight to overcome St. Bonaventure Sunday at Ambler Field, losing 3-0. Temple lost for the fifth straight time and ran its winless streak to seven games.

Roughed up at St. Joe’s

Posted on 16 October 2007 by Kenny Walter

Whether it was the physical play of Saint Joseph’s or a litany of questionable calls by the refereeing crew, the men’s soccer team could not muster a victory.
The Hawks defeated the Owls, 1-0, at Finnesey Field Saturday night, spoiling the Owls’ Atlantic Ten Conference opener and dropping them to 4-5-1 overall.

The loss dropped the Owls to 5-4-3 overall and 1-2-1 in the A-10.

Posted on 25 September 2007 by Todd Orodenker

Goals.
It’s simple enough, and it’s exactly what the men’s soccer team needs as they head into the Atlantic Ten Conference portion of its schedule.
Coming off a 1-0 loss to Hartford Saturday, and with the team tallying just six goals in their seven games, the focus for coach David MacWilliams is offense.

Scoring woes continue in tie

Posted on 25 September 2007 by Christopher Wink

The women’s soccer team kept to its game plan against Monmouth Sunday, save for the portion that included scoring a goal.
Two 10-minute overtime periods weren’t enough to decide Temple’s final non-conference game of the season Sunday, as the Owls played to a 0-0 tie against the Hawks at Ambler Field.
Temple moved to 4-2-2.
“We played tough,” […]
