Fox to open first massive online course

Free course can count towards MBA programs.

The Fox School of Business has announced they will hold Temple’s first ever massive open online course or MOOC for short. Quantitative Methods for Business, a free, four-week course will be offered in September and will be featured through Blackboard.

Quantitative Methods for Business, which will count as a graduate course, will benefit any business student said Darin Kapanjie, the managing director of Fox Online and Digital Learning and academic director of the Fox Online MBA and BBA programs. Students will use the program WebEx to go through weekly class actives, work on group projects, and work with other students and teachers.

Kapanije said students will have a chance to know what it’s like to work in a well-respected MBA program and students who do complete all course requirements can earn a certificate of completion or course waiver if the student chooses to enroll in any of the Fox School’s MBA programs, which include Global MBA, Part-time MBA, Online MBA and Executive MBA.

To find out when the course will be available, students can submit their name and email address to this website.
