Howard Gittis, a member of Temple’s Board of Trustees for more than 25 years, died Monday in New York City. He was 73. The Philadelphia native is the former chairman of the Board of Trustees and was the vice chairman and chief administrative officer of MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings Inc. for the past 22 years. The Howard Gittis Student Center was named after him last October.
