Temple, Philly celebrate after Obama elected

Listen to audio and see video from celebrations on Main Campus and in Center City following Sen. Barack Obama’s election.

Sen. Barack Obama won the 2008 presidential election over Sen. John McCain, and Philadelphians quickly took to the streets. The celebration lasted well after the president-elect’s Chicago speech into the early morning hours of Nov. 5.

  1. Saturday 11/08/08 there is a block party for Obama at 17th and Springarden. I need to know the start time. I would really appreciate this because I am coming from Chester Pa. Thank you
