Triple shooting leaves one dead, two injured

Police say there is no information on the shooter or motive.

UPDATE: The victim was 18-year-old James Wilford from the 6600 block of N. 20th St. and was pronounced dead at 11:05 p.m. after police found him suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the head, Philadelphia Police said.

Philadelphia Police Spokeswoman Christine O’Brien said in an email the other two victims walked to Temple University Hospital. One, a 19-year-old, had a graze wound to his left forearm while the other, a 20-year-old, had gunshot wounds to his right thigh and right foot.

Both were treated and released, O’Brien said.

She added there has still been no arrest and no motive is known.

A triple shooting late Friday night near the Health Sciences Campus killed one man and injured two others, police said.

Executive Director of Campus Safety Services Charlie Leone said the shooting happened outside 3304 N. 13th St. near Westmoreland Street.

An 18-year-old was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene after police arrived, Leone said. The other two victims, one 19 and one 20 years old, survived but were injured—one with a graze wound to the left forearm and the other in the right leg. They were treated at Temple University Hospital.

Police do not have any information on a motive or a description of the shooter, Leone said Saturday morning.
