Brown to have surgery for injured Achilles tendon

The senior guard played in all 33 games, starting all but one, and led the team in assists during the 2015-2016 season.

Senior point guard Josh Brown sustained an injury to his left Achilles tendon on Friday and will undergo surgery on Wednesday at Temple University Hospital.

Brown started 32-of-33 games for the Owls, scoring 8.3 points per game. He led the American Athletic Conference in minutes per game and finished No. 2 in assists behind conference player of the year Nic Moore of Southern Methodist.
