Men’s Rugby

The Owls defeated Drexel, 34-0, this Saturday, to finish 5-1 on the regular season. The team will be in the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union playoffs this weekend.

Women’s Rugby

The team finished league play undefeated with a 24-0 win over La Salle. The Owls were led by sophomore winger Erin Langheine’s two tries. Senior fullback Nikki Schuerch and junior lock Karina Sundar each had a try in the win.

The team heads to the EPRU playoffs as the No. 1 seed. They begin postseason play Nov. 6.

Men’s Soccer

The Owls participated in a regional tournament in Toughkenamon, Pa., over the weekend and came away with one win, one loss and one tie. The team opened the regional with a 9-0 rout of King’s College. The team rode a four-goal performance from senior forward Karl Verna, and senior striker Blair Young had two goals. Senior striker Chris Roberts and senior midfielders Kene Nwanah and Enoque Panzo each had one goal in the win.

The next match was a 2-2 draw with St. Joseph’s. Nwanah and sophomore midfielder Mark Koleda scored for the Owls.

In their final match, against Vermont, the Owls held the Catamounts scoreless until the match went to penalty kicks, where the Owls would go down, 1-0.

Tennis

The team placed No. 15 out of 19 in a tournament in Lehigh over the weekend. The team’s only win came against Rider. The team will have another tournament this weekend.
