BASEBALL/ SOFTBALL CLINICS
Baseball coach Rob Valli will hold Winter Indoor Skills Camp at McGonigle Hall in late December. The camps will be held Dec. 27 and 28. The camp attendees must be enrolled in 7th through 12th grades.
Softball coach Casey Dickson will host instructional clinics on Dec. 29 and 30 at McGonigle Hall. The clinic is for children aged 9 to 18.
LACROSSE
Former coach Tina Sloan-Green will be enshrined in the first annual Black Lacrosse Hall of Fame’s induction ceremony.
Sloan-Green, who coached lacrosse from 1975-1991, guided the Owls to nine NCAA Tournaments, two national championships, including Temple’s only undefeated season in 1988.
She also led the Owls to two second-place finishes, and four semifinal appearances. She boasts a career record of 207-64-4, while stringing together a 29-game win streak from 1984-1985. Sloan made history when she was named the first African American coach in women’s intercollegiate lacrosse. During her tenure, 21 Owls received all-American honors.
