International music sensation Avicii is set to take stage at the Liacouras Center tomorrow, Sept. 7, at 7:30 p.m.
Fresh from a trip to MTV’s Video Music Awards, the Swedish electric dance music producer and DJ is still spinning to the top with his upcoming North American fall tour.
The 23-year-old progressive house music sensation is selling out college arenas en route to his pair of gigs later this month at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, where he will become the first EDM act to ever perform on the venue’s sacrosanct stage.
Last week at the University of Windsor, Avicii sold roughly 7,500 tickets, raking in $130,000 for the night, as reported in an article on ourwindsor.ca. Also, all 4,800 tickets for Cornell University’s homecoming featuring Avicii sold out in just 35 minutes, according to The Cornell Daily Sun.
Liacouras Center representatives were unable to comment on ticket data for the show, but Liacourus Center Marketing Manager Britney Brewington said, “Tickets are still available via [the] Liacouras Center Box Office.”
