Battle of the Bands at The Underground

The Honors Activities Board is hosting a Battle of the Bands pulling from local talent across Philadelphia. Eight bands have been invited to perform and compete for recording studio time and gift certificates for equipment.

The Honors Activities Board is hosting a Battle of the Bands pulling from local talent across Philadelphia. Eight bands have been invited to perform and compete for recording studio time and gift certificates for equipment.

The featured bands include the Smyths, Hadrian’s Wall, Mike Roots, Out of Service, Daniel Kalai, Adam Monaco, South Pike Avenue and Skyview.

Well-known within the city, these bands have headlined for Grape Street Pub, Tin Angel, WXPN’s World Life Cafe, TLA and other local venues. Genres of music range from folk and alternative to reggae and acoustic rock.

It will begin at 7 p.m. in the Student Annex Underground on Thursday, March 23. Tickets are on sale for $5 before the show and available for $10 at the door. For more information, contact the Honors Activities Board at hab@temple.edu.
