Brown to have surgery for injured Achilles tendon

Senior point guard Josh Brown sustained an injury to his left Achilles tendon on Friday and will undergo surgery on Wednesday at Temple University Hospital.

Brown started 32-of-33 games for the Owls, scoring 8.3 points per game. He led the American Athletic Conference in minutes per game and finished No. 2 in assists behind conference player of the year Nic Moore of Southern Methodist.

Brown’s 3.5 assist to turnover ratio ranked No. 10 in Division I. He has played in all 101 of Temple’s games in his three seasons with the team.
