South Moon Under, located at 17th and Chestnut streets, is a new store in Philadelphia ready to give you a shock of summer. From its Holly Sharp sundresses to their killer bathing suit selection, its apparel line and accessories welcome the springtime and help shut out the cold.

“South Moon Under has something for everyone. We have very eclectic selections here,” said Philadelphia store manager Marcia DiBona. Each of the store’s four floors offer a different style for everyone.

The bottom level sells men’s clothing. It has a diverse selection of denim by designers such as Diesel and Seven for all Mankind. Jeans cost from $85 to about $220. Men can also pick up a T-shirts for everyday by a wide range of hip designers, all costing under $50.

Straying from the casual and peering at the professional, South Moon Under boasts a nice array of ties and dress shirts by Tailorbyrd and Ben Sherman. Dress shirts cost more, from $80 to $100. For accessories, men can pick up belts and Rainbow brand flip flops for $50.

Also located on the bottom level is a fantastic sale department with clothing up to 50 percent off. This isn’t one of those sale departments where you find a couple tattered shirts and skirts that nobody wanted. This sales rack is filled with Habitual jeans and Betsey Johnson dresses all for almost half-price.

Check out shoes and accessories on the store’s main floor, as well as a great selection of pieces that transition easily from day to night. A pink and white Joie print peasant top looks good with white Twill Twenty Two roll up pants-perfect to wear on casual Friday before heading to the beach later that night.

The shoe section is full of spring color. Green, pink and blue Juicy brand espadrilles sit next to the Dolce Vita pink patent leather pumps. Probably the most exciting accessory on the main floor is the new Marc Jacobs bag and accessory collection.

“It’s my favorite new thing in the store!” said DiBona, the store’s manager.

Girls’ denim and a small selection of housewares from picture frames to jewelry boxes can be found on the second floor. The denim section even has a rarity-Kitson jeans, an LA brand found in the most upscale of boutiques and only available at South Moon Under in the Philadelphia market. “These aren’t sold a lot of places,” said Kayce Cashman, press representative for South Moon Under.

The third floor is complete with comfortable, casual summer skirts, shorts and tank tops for girls, but the best is the bathing suits. With designers like BCBG and Betsey Johnson, the prices are a bit higher, but you’re sure to have a unique bikini on the beach. South Moon Under has an assortment of bikinis, one-pieces and tankinis costing from $80 to $140.
