Campus police arrested one male after he was observed using a screwdriver to enter a student’s parked vehicle.

Employee reported she was struck in the face by an unknown juvenile male after she pulled on his shirt when he asked her about the contents of the box she was carrying. No injuries reported,

9/5/01, 9:34 p.m., Temple Towers parking lot
Student reported an unknown male showed what appeared to be a silver handgun as she was entering her car. The male took a black handbag containing $50, ID and credit cards and fled south on 13 Street on a bicycle.

Campus police arrested one male for violation of the uniform firearms act when he was found to be in possession of a silver colored handgun.

Resident reported an unknown male wrote Greek fraternity letters into freshly poured concrete.

9/6/01, 3:35 p.m., 1300 Cecil B. Moore Avenue
Student reported an unknown person removed the front brake lines and seat locking pin from a Trek 700 bicycle between 9a.m. and 3:30 p.m. while attended at the bike rack.

Campus police arrested an underage male student when he was found attempting to bring 63 cans of beer into the residence hall concealed in a duffel bag.

9/8/01, 1:40 a.m., 2010 N. Broad Street
Student reported an unknown male pointed a silver handgun at other students in the living room of their residence. The male fled in an unknown directed. No injuries reported.

9/9/01, 2:05 a.m., Temple Towers 409W
Students were reported throwing beer cans off the balcony of their residence hall and yelling slurs at a passing pedestrian. Referred to UDC.

9/10/01, 4:05 p.m., 1000 Berks Mall
Student reported that two unknown females tricked her into giving them $500 after indicating they found a large sum of money and were willing to share it with her.

9/11/01,.1:34 a.m., 2200 Camac
Campus police arrested one male for three counts of assault on police when placing him under arrest for a previous robbery.

9/11/01, 4:30 p.m., 1522 N. Broad Street, Apt 3R
Students reported an unknown person entered their off campus apartment while they were outside and removed a laptop computer, sneakers and CDs.

9/11/01, 9:32 p.m., Johnson and Hardwick cafeteria
Student reported an unknown person removed a purse containing ID, bank card and checkbook from the back of a chair while eating.

9/12/01, 4:07 p.m., 1009 Berks Mall
Campus police arrested one male who stopped a student, asked a question, then snatched two gold chains from around her neck. No injuries reported. Both chains recovered.

9/14/01, 1:35 a.m., 203 Peabody Hall
Male student was transported to Temple Hospital and treated for excessive consumption of alcohol. Charged with underage drinking.

Student reported being struck in the right thigh by an unknown object thrown by juveniles on the roof of a building. No injuries reported.

9/16/01, 10:02 a.m., 2131 Broad Street (Rite Aid)
One male arrested by campus police for retail theft after leaving Rite Aid with batteries concealed in his pants.

9/16/01, 12:45 a.m., 1700 Liacouras Walk
Student arrested for underage consumption of alcohol when she was observed staggering around and bumping into objects. Treated at Temple Hospital.

9/16/01, 3:25 a.m., 2040 Carlisle
Four students arrested for disorderly conduct and underage consumption of alcohol. Males were yelling “Wake up. It’s time to wake up,” prompting numerous complaints from neighbors.

9/16/01, 5:45 a.m., 1423 Diamond Street
Campus police arrested a non-student male for possession of a BB gun. The male ran and threw the BB gun to the ground when approached by police.
