Dayglow paint party comes to the Liacouras Center

What party could be so incredible that broke college students could be persuaded to
drop $50-110 on a ticket? Neon paint, really loud dubstep and approximately 1,000 half-
dressed strangers–that’s what. Dayglow made a tour stop at Liacouras Center this past
Thursday and Friday on Main Campus.

Dayglow was started by Committee Entertainment in 2006 on college campuses in
Florida, and has since grown into a multimillion dollar worldwide tour. The hype
surrounding this show is remarkable. Then again, if you’re paying approximately $80 to
get in, you’re going to be determined to have a good time.

“I’ve never been to a paint party before and this is the largest in the world, so I figure I
should go big or go home,” said sophomore Nina Johnson.

“Insanity” is probably the best word to describe the Dayglow experience. Thousands of
people jumping around, sweating, making out, dancing and screaming all together creates
an irresistible atmosphere of freedom.

When the party let out, guests waited for buses and cabs on the street, shivering, covered
in paint and sweat and visibly exhausted, but exhilarated.
