Bryan Pedreiro, 18, the fourth suspect in the alleged anti-Semitic crime turned himself in a few hours after the other three suspects on Thursday Feb. 28.
A detective from the Philadelphia Police Department confirmed that he turned himself in and will face charges of simple assault, aggravated assault, ethnic intimidation and conspiracy – the same charges faced by Stephen Scott, 19, David Scott, 20, and Michael Walsh, 20.
The four Temple students allegedly beat a 23-year-old Penn State senior in front of the Temple Hillel during the early morning hours of Feb. 15 while hurling anti-Semitic slurs.
Dean of Students Ainsley Carry confirmed at a meeting Thursday evening that the students were issued letters of suspension immediately following their identification on tapes of the incident.
In addition to criminal charges, the four will also face a University Disciplinary Committee hearing.
They are scheduled to appear in court tomorrow at 8 a.m.
