It’s time to get serious. You’ve been pushing it off for the last few days and now December is here and you’re not prepared. Yep, it’s time to get that holiday shopping done. Some may have risked their lives during Black Friday just for an Xbox 360, others may have been smart and waited for those awesome Cyber Monday deals, but the majority haven’t even begun to think about what to get their loved ones. Between finals, papers, work and whatever else you may have going on, there’s really no time to think about gift shopping, so here’s a list to help get you on your way.

Smak Parlour

219 Market St.

Everyone has that friend who’s so sweet and girly that just being around her could put you into a diabetic coma full of glittery, pony-filled dreams. Luckily, there’s a one-stop-shop for girls like that, Smak Parlour. Located in Old City, this black, white and pink store caters to women who still believe in fairy tales and like to wear cute, kitschy things.

Crash, Bang, Boom

528 S. 4th St.

Find everything from Manic Panic hair dye, creepers and Doc Martens to vibrant purple wigs, band tees and bondage inspired gear at Crash, Bang, Boom. This isn’t some faux punk mall store like Hot Topic, the guy who runs the store actually knows everything about punk culture and stocks the store with pretty cool stuff. Plus, the gingerbread band in the window is a nice touch for the holidays.

Philadelphia Flea Market

820 Spring Garden St.

For many people, it’s all about vintage. Who could blame them? Why not buy something that can stand the test of time? Flea markets are great places to find vintage pieces. From now until March, the Philadelphia Flea Market will be held every Saturday on Spring Garden. No matter who you’re shopping for, you’ll probably find something for them. Pick up cute little knick-knacks, old vinyl records or an over the top fur coat. Warning: Vintage clothing always smells like mothballs–always. Do your friend a favor and wash everything before you gift it.

Punk Rock Flea Market – Dec. 11

461 N. 9th St.

The holiday edition of the Punk Rock Flea Market is right around the corner and this year they’re also hosting a record fair at the Starlight Ballroom, as well as the usual flea market. That’s two buildings of cool stuff to pick up for friends and family. There will be more than 300 tables of DIY zines, furniture, posters, skateboards, music equipment, art, vegan-friendly food and whatever else you can imagine. There’s a $3 entry fee, but it’s well worth it.
