Interest in Writing for Temple News

Dear Editorial Board,

I am a junior JPRA student interested in writing for your publication. I can send or hand-deliver a portfolio of clips to your office if you are interested in viewing them.

I’d be willing to write for any section of the paper you could use assistance with, but my specific interests are in op-eds and features writing.

I have some experience writing articles on a professional level from working in the Communications Department of a non-profit organization in Washington, DC over the summer. I drafted most of the news (articles, press releases, etc.) the organization generated during that time, but the executive director’s name (or someone else’s name who had at least a college degree and a professional reputation) was placed with it.

If you are trying to fill a specific hole in your staff or are interested in an extra writer, please notify me. I am on main campus every weekday this semester and have time to kill between classes. Hopefully the time can be used to suit both my needs and yours.
