Dear Editor,
I would like to know why the March 28-April 3 Temple News had a very extensive cover story about Temple Jewish Students’ visiting Israel at the same time that Israeli military forces invaded and began committing grave human atrocities against the Palestinian people?
Where is your human dignity or conscience?
Thousands of Palestinians are now cut off with no food, water, or electricity because Israeli forces deliberately destroy food supplies, break water mains and destroy power lines.
Where in the world do people lie and die on the streets and in ambulances because Israeli soldiers shell on civilian areas and refuse to allow medical personnel to reach the wounded?
Where in the world does a man remain stuck in his home with the dead bodies of his mother and brother because he is not allowed by the Israeli military to bury them?
Are these stories not noteworthy? If human life and murder are not noteworthy, then I hardly know what is.
Shame on you for not reporting on these grave atrocities and for then trying to cover it up with another story. I strongly suggest that you report on such human atrocities in your further editions. I also ask in the name of humanity, justice and freedom of speech that you publish this opinion in your next newspaper edition.
Truly Dismayed,
Fellow Temple Human Rights Activist
