Clean city streets surrounded by lush greenery without a construction sign in sight – these are the opening scenes of The Real World: Philadelphia. The third episode begins with a candid discussion of Sarah’s implants, a graduation present from her parents.

Melanie gets her first airtime of the season when she irks Sarah by saying that plastic surgery is wrong, and you are who you are for a reason. Sarah admits having previous self-esteem issues and struggling to overcome anorexia and bulimia for six years.

Yet more tension arises when Melanie complains to Landon and Karamo that Sarah bought a pair of $150 jeans. Feeling hurt by Melanie’s actions, Sarah decides to confront Melanie so they can work out their differences. They reconcile for the time being, promising to communicate their problems as they begin to build a better relationship.

Meanwhile, Willie met up with Dan, a past fling, at the Equality Forum – a gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender event in Philly last April. Later, a caravan of people head back to the house much to the dismay of MJ and Landon, who are still adjusting to living with two gay men.

Willie and Dan decide to rekindle their relationship. They start by sharing toothbrushes and a kiss.

A season of the Real World isn’t complete without a steamy shower scene, and Tuesday’s episode was no exception. The sexy couple washed each other’s hair and proceeded to make out in the multi-person shower. Afterward the naked couple headed back to Willie’s room to finish what they started. The episode ends with MJ, Landon, Shavonda and Sarah spying from another bedroom, which is conveniently located across the hall.

Don’t miss police confrontation, another Real World staple, during next week’s episode.
