Public make-out sessions have become an ever-evolving art, and getting that special kiss in Philadelphia is not the easiest task. That special romantic overlook or little hidden corner of the city isn’t always easy to find.

Trying to make the move as SEPTA roars by and that awful city stench fills the air does not make for a special hookup. But despite being a bustling city, Philadelphia has a couple serene spots conducive for that special moment with a loved one.

Fairmount Park is a popular place to get some fresh air and take a walk in Philadelphia. Just behind the Fairmount Water Works, a gazebo overlooks the Schuylkill River. At night the river radiates with lights from Boathouse Row, providing a delightful getaway within the city and an ideal spot to make the magic happen.

Along another Philadelphia river resides a classic setting to woo your boo. The Delaware River waterfront is home to the Blue Cross RiverRink at Penn’s Landing.

Penn’s Landing ice skating is a wintertime tradition in Philadelphia and a potentially romantic way to enjoy the outdoors. Bust out some sexy moves to get your significant other’s heart melting and you just might end up playing tonsil hockey.

Don’t really feel like breaking a sweat? Take a horse-drawn carriage ride around Old City for a cozy view of the historic section of Philadelphia. Snuggle in the comfy carriage and enjoy the romantic ride around town. Things can get bumpy on the cobble streets, so try avoiding head butting while kissing.

While it is more important whom you are with than where you are, finding that perfect spot can set the stage for an amazing evening. Avoid being that awkward couple in the movie theater or struggling to get comfortable in the back seat of mom’s mini van.

Make a move out in the city, and something really special just might happen.
