It’s a circus in here.
Delicious Boutique & Corseterie delights and entertains its audience with enough corsets, dresses and amazing fashions to pack a tent. The circus-themed boutique opened three years ago when owners Amy McConnell and Psydde Delicious needed a new way to showcase their line, Delicious Corsets.
The result is a Northern Liberties boutique packed with lingerie, circus toys and other applause-worthy goodies. Under blinking signs and circus décor are shelves of corsets in all colors, styles and sizes.
The designers from the downstairs production room work to produce these luxurious, intricate corsets that can even be custom-made.
One of their biggest sellers, the Chatterley, is a traditional corset with a lace-up back cut from elegant silk and satin fabrics.
Things get wild with the Disorder collection. These corsets are simpler, with shoelace ties and zipper fronts. Camouflage and denim fabrics lend an edgy look to this classic undergarment. There is also a series of corsets sewn from multi-colored denim, in dark reds, greens and charcoals.
Take advantage of amazing corsets on sale for 50 percent off, including a collection of corsets modeled by the Peek-A-Boo Revue, a local burlesque troupe. They come in bold colors with sequin accents and tassel trims. Another eye-catching piece features woven satin ribbon with a blue rose trim at the top of the bust.
Pair these one-of-a-kind lingerie treasures with some of Delicious’s other finds, like its pirate-style striped bloomers, and you might be compelled to buy an eye patch, too.
Sam’s ruffle boy-shorts are a must have. They come in an array of colors and are super stretchy to fit both small and large sizes. You can also find crinolines to wear under vintage dresses to give them an extra frill.
Delicious even has the materials to make your own corset, like steel boning and fabrics. Order the materials online, and they’ll have them ready to be picked up at the store.

I see London. I see France. I see a shop full of adorable underpants.
Tony boutique in Old City is a bi-level shop stuffed with girly cuteness. With its murals of vintage champagne ads adorning the high walls, it salutes all things French. Skip up the spiral staircase and you’ll arrive at a landing that houses lace and frills.
The boutique’s Panty Parlor is a recent addition. Shop for rare lingerie made by Mary Green, a designer who can’t be found at your local Victoria’s Secret. Perfect for lounging around, Green’s cozy lingerie is a favorite of publications like Cosmopolitan and Seventeen. Tony has a rack full of her camisole and boy-short sets in powder blue with bright red lace and beige with yellow or green lace.
Rendez-vous á Paris and Oh La La Cheri bring a bit of Paris to Philly with frilly lace camisole dresses and matching panties. A corset-style top from Oh La La Cheri features black fishnet accents over white satin. Black satin ribbons criss-cross at the sides and back to cinch it together. Bring some color into your nightlife with camisole sets in peaches, berries and corals from Rendez-vous á Paris.
Check out the hat boxes filled with sale items like lacy thongs and triangle bras.
Tony is a heaven for red-carpet fashion secrets like Hollywood Fashion Tape and other hard-to-find bra adjustments. A popular seller is the U-Plunge bra. It’s cut deep to wear under even the most revealing blouses and dresses. The best part: it’s on sale for $35.
