Chandra Wade quickly went from being one of Echochic’s favorite customers to being one of the boutique’s favorite jewelry designers.
Wade’s jewelry career began earlier this year when she crafted accessories to match her own T-shirts. She was surprised by how well they turned out and used inspiration from Philly and Echochic’s clothing to create a few more designs.
While shopping at Echochic, she asked the women at the register if they wanted to see her endeavors. They were smitten: Wade wowed the staff with earrings, necklaces and bracelets made of metallic and black leathers, chain details and cut-out designs.
It’s easy to match Wade’s pieces with almost any garment in your closet. Silver bangles and chain-link bracelets brighten everyday T-shirt and denim combinations, while intricate necklaces dazzle that little black dress. A best-seller is a necklace that links snakeskin patterns with pink leather and thin gold chains.

Ladies, pin up those curls and bat those eyes – Re:sound’s dresses are perfect if you want to pretend you’re a classic Hollywood starlet.
Made by the designers of Soundgirl, the Re:sound collection blends ideals of classic beauty and modern styles together. The pieces are perfect for women of all ages because they maintain a youthful, yet refined look.
The collection’s strength is its attention to detail. The covered buttons and hidden zippers are almost impossible to find outside of vintage shops, and they maintain Re:sound’s vintage motif. Despite the luxurious fabrics and special details, all items cost less than $250, which isn’t bad for cocktail dresses. A must-have is the Nexus dress. Its periwinkle blue fabric drapes elegantly into an A-line skirt, forming a classic silhouette that screams “bombshell.”
TrickGo Release Party

The T-shirt release party is so secretive that the hosts don’t even know what to expect.
Deep Sleep boutique is launching the party for TrickGo, a Philadelphia-based clothing company that specializes in unique, limited-edition T-shirts. TrickGo’s creator Matt Trigaux promotes city culture by showcasing different local artists in his T-shirt designs. Each month, he features a new person in hopes of spreading his or her name.
It doesn’t hurt their pocketbooks, either: proceeds go to the artists.
A favorite is artist Jackie Barry’s T-shirt, which displays a red, water-colored silhouette of the skyline. Unfortunately, it’s from one of their past collections and the Deep Sleep boys won’t give up any clues about the fall line.
What they did share is this: there will be a live DJ and free drinks, and attendees will be able to snag exclusive, limited-edition tees from TrickGo. Well, at least you know you don’t have to BYOB.
