It’s the football team’s bye week.

Don’t panic.

This week should be a time to reflect and not neglect.

Reflect on what the football team has accomplished.

Admittedly, the list is short.

Let’s take it back to week one, when the Owls faced off against the Richmond Spiders—not even a Division I-A team—and managed a win.

Since then they have been competitive.

But once the second half rolls around the offense has repeatedly sputtered and the Owls have fallen victim to superior competition.

The only other positive is Tanardo Sharps’ performance.

What to do, you ask, as a Temple sports fan?

Don’t neglect the other teams that put in the same amount of practice time and the athletes that are gifted enough to earn a scholarship, like the guys on the gridiron.

So I am not going to write a bunch of flimflam and bore you to death about why you should seize this week and weekend to catch a glimpse of the other sports teams in season.

In case you forgot what the other sports are: volleyball, field hockey, and men’s and women’s soccer.

And I’ll even be kind enough to leave you with their schedules for the week.
