After Temple University football’s impressive 34-31 win against the University of Memphis, the Owls overcame a 17-point deficit, but University of Cincinnati won’t let that happen on Friday night.
Temple led by eight points in the third quarter but eventually lost, 78-72, to Cincinnati on Wednesday in Ohio, also marking the team’s fourth straight loss in conference play.
The Owls’ defense forced four punts, one turnover on downs and a game-clinching overtime interception over No. 20 ranked Cincinnati’s last seven drives to seal a 24-17 victory.
