The redshirt-sophomore guard set a conference tournament record for made 3-pointers in the first half and scored 24 points in the Shockers’ 89-81 win against Temple on Friday at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
Senior guard Tanaya Atkinson moved into second place on the Owls’ all-time scoring list during Temple’s 83-78 overtime loss to Memphis on Monday at McGonigle Hall.
The men’s basketball team, coming off a 7-0 month of December, dropped its first game at home this season, as the Owls lost, 84-52, to No. 1 Kansas. No. 18 Temple must now rebound in time for the Atlantic Ten Conference opener Wednesday.
