Last Wednesday, Temple University media studies and production professor Marc Lamont Hill made controversial pro-Palestine remarks during a speech at the United Nations. As a result of comments many have called anti-Semitic, CNN dropped Hill
“While I stand behind my political beliefs, I have learned that my use of language produced interpretations, feelings, and responses that I did not intend. For that, I am deeply sorry.”
Jewish and pro-Israel groups said Hill’s remarks at the United Nations on Wednesday were anti-Semitic, which resulted in CNN dropping the Temple professor from their programming Thursday.
This semester, Lamont Hill joined the Klein College of Media and Communication faculty as the first Steve Charles Chair in Media, Cities and Solutions.
