Senior guard Tanaya Atkinson scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds during Temple’s 55-52 win against Southern Methodist on Sunday at McGonigle Hall.

Graduate guard Mykia Jones scored a season-high 11 points, but leading scorer Tanaya Atkinson dealt with foul trouble in the Owls’ 76-46 road loss to Central Florida.

The football program had its first first-round NFL Draft pick since 2011, the women’s basketball team made the NCAA Tournament and the men’s soccer program played its final season under David MacWilliams.
