Black History Month celebration
A month-long series of events highlighting African-American achievements, culture and leaders will mark Temple University’s celebration of Black History Month.
Events are being planned by Temple University’s African-American studies department, Office of Student Activities and Office of Community Relations.

Spike Lee’s Four Little Girls
The African-American studies department is sponsoring a showing of Spike Lee’s documentary, Four Little Girls, on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m.
The movie is about the 1963 bombing of the 16th St. Church in Birmingham, Ala. that left four African-American girls dead. Call 215-204-8491 for location information.

This week’s teach-in
A weekly teach-in to discuss current political events is being held every Friday by Professor Ralph Young and students in his Dissent in America class.
This week’s teach-in will be a continuation of last week’s discussion of the national security strategy.
