Temple University’s Esther Boyer College of Music and Department of Dance is ending the semester with Urbanites, an intergenerational dance concert.
The concert explores urban spaces and the people who inhabit them. The show features dancers from within the department as well as children who attend classes regularly.
“This is an intergenerational concert for an intergenerational audience,” Victoria McGuigan said. She is a master’s education candidate.
Following the show, and interactive demonstration, audience members can ask questions, discuss the show and explore some dance methods used in the show.
Urbanites plays on Friday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 4 at 2:30 p.m. in Conwell Dance Theater on the fifth floor of Conwell Hall.
Tickets are $10 for the general public, $8 for students and seniors and $5 for Temple students with a GAF card.
