Women’s gymnastics takes fourth place at Atlantic 10 championships

The women’s gymnastics team was also in action over the weekend as they competed in the Atlantic 10 Championships. George Washington took home the team title while Temple placed fourth overall with a 192.275 team score behind second place UMass (193.950) and third place Rhode Island (192.325).

Senior Cicely Warrington carried the Owls and placed third in the all-around competition with a 38.700 and tied for second place in the balance beam, notching a score of 9.950. Warrington, a native of Howell, NJ, received All-Conference honors for her performance on the beam. She is Temple’s first honoree since 1996.

Freshman standout Erin Davis was named A-10 Rookie of the Year after placing sixth in the all-around competition, scoring 9.625 on the beam junior Andrea McGary tied for third place on the vault with a score of 9.700.
