From Berklee College of Music in Boston to Temple University in Philadelphia, Passion Pit knows what it takes to put on a show. Lead singer Michael Angelakos brought the hype to the 2010 Homecoming Concert by enthusiastically jumping around the stage to engage the crowd. At one point the singer from Buffalo even fell to his knees to belt the lyrics of their hit song “Sleepyhead” into the microphone, demonstrating his passion to the pit of mostly Temple students on October 16.

Passion Pit wants to raise environmental awareness following the success of their debut album, 2009’s “Manners.” Their “Campus Consciousness Tour” combines rock music and an environmental message by traveling to green-minded colleges throughout the country. Austin-natives Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears also played a curious blues, funk-based opening act.
