Public displays of affection, a.k.a. PDA, can sometimes be enough to turn one’s stomach. Other times, it can be a heart-warming testament of a couple’s love. No matter which side of the fence you’re on, chances are that you have encountered PDA on Temple’s campus.
Now that Valentine’s Day is upon us, PDA sightings are up. Whether it is on the grass by the Bell Tower, on the couches in the Student Center, or in a residence hall laundry room, it appears people just can’t keep their hands off of each other. With a range from “ewww!” to “awww!” this is what some Temple students had to say about PDA.
“It’s just affection between two people, and if someone is willing to give it … I’ll take it!” said Matt Powell, a junior.
“There is a line that you can cross, but it really depends on who you are. If I want to show someone I love them, I’m going to.” said Noelle Cebron, a senior.
“Seeing a kiss and a hug is OK, but once it goes beyond that we are uncomfortable.” said Ivan Loi and Sofia Chea.
