With the heavy “Here To Stay” and the latest single “Thoughtless” dominating radios across the country, the founding fathers of new metal return in support of their latest album, Untouchables.
On board for the tour is new metal’s latest standout act TRUSTcompany and Chicago hard-rockers Disturbed, who debuted at number one on the Billboard charts with their sophomore album Believe.
Korn has devoted this tour to their younger fans and the continuation of the battle between hard rock and pop music across the airwaves.
MTV and Playstation2 sponsor the tour and tickets were discounted $10 for teenagers.
While Korn is all about their music, they have employed a more fan-friendly stage setup that includes central video screens and a fast-paced rear lighting show that will surely promote exciting mosh pits.
Untouchables is an inconceivably heavy disc that mixes in new musical elements for the five piece – frontman Jonathan Davis, bassist Reginald “Fieldy Snuts” Arvizu, drummer David Silveria, and guitarists James “Munky” Shaffer and Brian “Head” Welch.
Fieldy’s bass lines are heavier than ever, while Davis’ lyrics share an increasingly more thought provoking and personal look into the dark corners of his mind.
With opening acts Disturbed and Trust Company sharing equal radio time with their respective singles, this concert offers the best hard rock concert for fall.
Few bands can match the live intensity of a Korn concert – the mosh pits encompass the arena’s entire floor section and are more aggressive than any other.
The 35-city tour kicked off Oct. 8 in Manchester, NH and will stop at the First Union Center on Tuesday Oct. 15.
Korn, Disturbed and TRUSTcompany are live on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 7 p.m., at the First Union Spectrum, 3601 S. Broad St. Ticket prices are $32.50 and $34.50 (door) and can be purchased from Ticketmaster at 215-336-2000.
