Study Abroad Programs

I was graduated from Temple University in the 1990s and am pursuing a second degree at a university in a southern state.

Has any major newspaper, to your knowledge, ever investigated study abroad programs? I am curious about same since I went abroad this summer and came back with serious concerns. These concerns included the program coordinator’s possible conflicts of interest, donating university students’ federal student aid monies (excess funds) to foreign entities and racial discrimination. From the short time I was abroad, I saw enough activities to make me question if laws, both international and U.S., were broken. I’m still trying to figure out where $1000 of my money went; my accomodations were lousy for the money I paid and other things were not quite right. One of our professors died three days after returning to the U.S.; he, too,was a graduate of Temple University.
