Temple Student Government held an election for university representatives and parliamentarian at its meeting on Monday, Dec. 2.
There were 12 open seats for university representatives, but only one student, Sarah Baker, submitted a letter of intent prior to the meeting.
Toyin Awesu, Lora Iwuoha and Jeannie Sabaroff were nominated for seats at the meeting.
The four students were elected by majority vote of the TSG General Assembly.
Parliamentarian Tomas Varela was reelected unanimously.
Chair of the TSG Community Affairs Committee Tai Baker announced several opportunities to volunteer at local Christmas Parties.
One party will take a place at Cleveland Elementary School on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Temple Police are also having a Christmas party, which will be held in the Johnson and Hardwick social lounge.

TSG Assistant Press Director Brian Harvey announced a Student Appreciation Party.
The party is being held at Independence Brewery Pub in Center City from 9:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5. There will be shuttle buses from the Student Center to the party.

The Main Campus Program Board and TSG are sponsoring the party.
Chair of TSG Student Life Committee Marissa Procope said she is looking for students help with the committee’s programs.
The committee is currently working on three programs. One is the Student Consciousness Program, which provides information about university services and facilities available to students.
The committee is also planning to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the TSG General Assembly, and is organizing information about work-study jobs that are available on campus.
A representative from the University’s administration will attend the Dec. 9 TSG meeting to address the questions and concerns of students about the issue of diversity on campus, according to the Speaker of the General Assembly, Bryan Carter.
It was announced at the Nov. 25 TSG meeting that minority enrollment is falling at the University.
