Once again Temple University shows no concern for its commuter students.
I live in Manayunk and commmute to school daily.
Up until Tuesday afternoon in Roxborough/Manayunk road conditions were horrid.
You were lucky to get down many secondary streets, and for that matter, even
digging your car out since it was plowed in under about four feet of snow and slush.
The side road I park on was barely plowed, and I had a lot of digging to do just to get to my car.
What is the administration doing?
Are they looking out on Broad Street to make a decision on whether to cancel classes?
If they are, they are forgetting that Temple Main still is roughly 75 percent commuter.
Let us also remember Philadelphia’s track record on clearing streets of snow.
Show some common sense Temple.
You can call our parents if we break the rules, yet would probably want no responsibility if we get into an accident trying to make our way to class in obviously hazardous conditions.
Thank God all my professors aren’t holding it against students who couldn’t make it Tuesday due to a POOR decision by the administration.
And I have to feel bad for our professors – from what I hear, they were mandated to be in class or face loss of pay or disciplinary action.
That’s bull.
Temple News, please cover this.
I think the student body and the faculty deserve an answer.
