www.FP1.com
FP1.com (Fashion Planet) is one of the newest fashion Web sites receiving a lot of attention. The site is full of fashion info about celebrities young and old, providing nothing but the top-of-the-line fashion. The general idea behind this site is to bring fashion straight to you without having to buy a newspaper or magazine.
FP1 offers various links to different fashion topics. “What’s New” reviews the latest styles, from the best and most expensive designers, as well as the chosen looks of the day. Fancy footwear for women, such as Kenneth Cole and Moschino, was among the most attractive features.
The world of fashion comes alive with links that take you on a behind-the-scenes look at all the fashionable inside parties. Most took place in New York, where a lot of fashion trends are started and spread.
If it’s advice you’re looking for, plenty is provided in the “Columns” section where experts give opinions on everything ranging from necessary accessories and beauty tips to physique and mental fitness.
“Windows on N.Y.” was my favorite link. It gives you the chance to take the shopping spree of your dreams through all the shops in New York. Links are provided for every shop on Madison and Fifth Avenues, giving you the perfect opportunity to shop online with ease. To those who cannot get to New York or just can’t handle the Big Apple, this is the best way to shop.
Most of the “News” stories are brief. However, the information packed into the one paragraph seems to answer the five significant questions of who, what, when, why, and how.
This site is filled with tantalizing goods on who’s doing what in the fashion world. It also covers the top-of-the-line, upscale designer names in fashion. A general feeling I got from exploring the site was “If I were a rich girl.” I’d have to graduate from college before thinking about purchasing an item from FP1.com.
In essence, Fashion Planet.com covers some aspects of the world of fashion. But the site fails to include urban styles, which many college students and young people support and endorse, creating a large gap as far as who would benefit from FP1. The site also separates those willing to spend a bundle from those who just want to look good at a good price.
