Nothing’s better during the holidays than watching holiday movies that bring back warm childhood feelings. The Grinch isn’t typically synonymous with cheer, but the classic movie, How the Grinch Stole Christmas is enough to warm anyone’s heart.

He’s a bad banana with a greasy black peel. But we love him. The Grinch has become one of our holiday heroes, and it didn’t take Jim Carrey to make him that way. Long before the rubber-faced actor donned green fur and make-up, the Mean One was drawing audiences of all ages. Dr. Seuss’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is a book that parents have used for generations to explain to their children what is really important about Christmas.

When it was turned into an animated television special in 1966, it instantly won the hearts of children and adults alike. With the narration of Boris Karloff, the pages of Dr. Seuss’ book were brought to life, demonstrating even more what a funny and touching story it has become. Now it is a must watch for many families each holiday season.

With the help of his little dog Max, the Grinch steals Christmas, only to bring it back to every Who down in Whoville, while teaching us all about the true meaning of Christmas. So this holiday season as you carve the roast beast, channel your inner Cindy Lou and your heart will grow two sizes by the end of your feast.
