Quest for holiday success

While the semester is leaving, winter break and the holidays are moving in. For all the shoppers ready to go on a quest looking for gifts for friends and family members, here are the top five places to go for holiday shopping.

Bath and Body Works

For shoppers who are looking for a nice gift for a girlfriend, mother or even co-worker, Bath & Body Works is an option. They have big candles from The White Barn Candle Co. in numerous scents like Sweet Pea, Cucumber Melon, Brown Sugar, Cinnamon Stick and tons more for $15.

There are also big and small basket sets in various flavors ranging from $20 to $30. They include body splash, body lotion, candles, shower gel and a body sponge in a decorated wooden basket. For friends or family members who like fragranced body moisturizers, there are also six-set lotion pieces for $20.

Fragrances include Warm Vanilla Sugar, Cherry Blossom and Coconut Lime Verbena just to name a few.

Old Navy

Shoppers with little brothers or sisters can find long-sleeve flannel shirts for $10 for boys and 2 for $10 hats, scarves and gloves for girls. Old Navy also has men’s baseball tees, thermal henleys and crewneck shirts for $10.

They also have colorful, sequined, beaded, embroidered and graphic tote bags for $10. Shoppers can find mini gifts like colorful clutch purses, picture albums and owl-shaped key chains (go Temple!), ranging from $5 to $9.50.

H&M

Shoppers can find knit flower earrings for $4.90 or a variety of loop, orange, pink and cream earrings or sparkling earrings with butterflies for $1.90 each. There are also rhinestone broaches for $4.90. For men, there are cushioned sandals that come in black, gray and tan for $9.90. There are also hats for $5.00.

H&M also has graphic print tee shirts for men in orange, navy blue, green, cream and many more for $12.90.

Borders

Here shoppers can find all types of books for friends and family members. Shoppers can find fiction, non fiction and romance books from $8 to $27. Borders also has children’s holiday books ranging from $4.99 to $17.99. DVDs range from $16.99 to $24.99 and CDs are from $9.99 to $18.99.

Borders also have holiday cards for 20% off and shoppers can create their own gift baskets for friends and family with mini gifts like shampoo sets for $9.99, soap sets for $16.99 and leather journals ranging from $19.95-$24.95.

Strawbridges

Here students can find cotton sweaters for their parents, grandparents or any other family members, ranging from $19.99 to $24.99.

Students can also find a Liz Claiborne perfume collection which includes five sprays: Curve, Liz Claiborne, Soul by Curve, Realities and Curve Crush. Shoppers can get this $310 value item for $29.50. Strawbridges as well as the other stores mentioned can be found at the Gallery at Market East and on 801 Market St. in Center City.
