Saint Joseph’s needed a late basket to beat Penn, which lost for the first time in four games.
Abdulai Jalloh hit his only basket of the game with 25 seconds left to give the Hawks (9-8) the win. Rob Ferguson led St. Joseph’s with 18 points.
Mark Zoller had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Quakers (10-6). Penn’s Steve Danley had 13 points, but missed two free throws in the waning seconds.

Penn finished the season winless in the Big Five, after falling to La Salle.
Penn (3-13) was outrebounded 26-13 in the second half.
La Salle (10-8) was led by junior Crista Ricketts, who scored 12 points in the second half. The Explorers, who led by three points at halftime, eventually led by as many as 18.
