St. Joe’s (11-12, 5-7 in Atlantic Ten Conference) outscored Rhode Island (12-11, 6-6 A-10) 7-3 in the final four minutes and was helped out by the Rams, who missed seven of 19 free throws in the second half.

Hawks guards Whitney Ffrench and Timisha Gomez combined for 30 points to lead St. Joe’s (17-8, 8-5 A-10) to a victory over La Salle (11-14, 7-7 A-10).
Ffrench led all scorers with 16 points and had four points in a 6-0 run that brought the Hawks back from a 38-37 deficit with just less than 13 minutes left. That gave them a lead that they would hold for the remainder of the game.
