The football team lost freshman running back Bernard Pierce to injury in the Owls’ 27-13 win against Army. Redshirt junior quarterback Vaughn Charlton and the offensive line also played poorly, totaling just 19 yards and one touchdown afterward.

The football team earned its fourth consecutive win with a 27-13 defeat of the Army Black Knights in the annual Homecoming game. The Owls overcame the loss of freshman running back Bernard Pierce thanks to a critical fourth-down stop by the defense and a touchdown catch by senior tight end Steve Maneri.
