TTN Slideshow: Campus Sustainability Day, Oct. 20, 2010

Slideshow by TTN photographer Dana Muraresku

The Office of Sustainability on Temple University’s campus hosted the third annual Campus Sustainability Day at the Bell Tower on Main Campus from 11 a.m to 2 p.m on Oct. 20, 2010. The day brought together student organizations, outside organizations, departments and offices as part of an outreach and engagement event by the Office of Sustainability.  This event included a sustainability pledge, SEPTA hybrid bus, micro-turbine, recycling displays, student organization sign-ups, swap/reuse table and electric vehicles.

The goal of the event was to create awareness on Temple’s campus about how the Temple community can participate in the initiative to be a sustainable university.  Featured at the event was Temple’s own Verde Styles, recent grant recipients of $25K from the Pepsi Refresh Project to continue their sustainable business strategy of planting a tree with every purchase made.
