‘Source’ seeing red because Eminem said…

Various scathing racial slurs, reports MTV, on two different tracks from at least a decade ago. The ever-controversial rapper Eminem has been absent from the music scene, busy pushing protégés 50 Cent and his clique G Unit. Recently, two songs have “surfaced” from the late 80s and early 90s at (surprise, surprise) long-time foe publication, The Source.

The hip-hop magazine, fronted by rapper Benzino, has had it out for Eminem since the early days and wasted no time in running down the street with lyrics in hand.
“All the girls I like to bone have big butts/ No they don’t, ’cause I don’t like that n—– sh–/ I’m just here to make a bigger hit.”

Yikes.

Em said in a statement that the tracks (the second detailing how black women were only out for money) were “something I made out of anger, stupidity and frustration when I was a teenager.”

Depp Sexy

Eccentric buccaneer Johnny Depp has been named People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive.” Taking the crown from Ben Affleck, People backs their cover boy because he isn’t “slick or packaged or politically correct, he is a hero to his fans and an idol to his young co-stars.”

The magazine will hit shelves Dec. 1 and no doubt shout-out Depp’s upcoming projects such as The Rum Diary and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Clay scratch fever

Pseudo-idol Clay Aiken is up the creek this week with PETA breathing down his back (and we all know how those animal lovers cling to your leg). Aiken recently made anti-kitty comments in Rolling Stone, going as far as saying he ran over a cat when he was sixteen because “there’s nothing worse.”

Thus, PETA teamed with Triumph the Insult Comic Dog in an ad that states “Get Neutered…it didn’t hurt Clay Aiken.”
Fans and legal reps for Aiken vehemently thwarted the ad. It has since been put on indefinite hold by the animal protection agency, but the group will dangle it over the aww-shucks-soprano’s head until he does well by the felines.

Is MTV getting too real? Not only has the network greenlit another season of Newlyweds, they extended a hand to the family and are riding along with Ashlee Simpson, Jessica’s younger sister, as she records her debut album. Now, International Movie Database reports MTV is in bed with Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro to film their forthcoming nuptials. Let’s hope they avoid the honeymoon…
