The athletic administrative offices of Temple University welcomed a new but familiar face Tuesday, as Director of Athletics Dave O’Brien named former women’s basketball head coach Kristen Foley an assistant athletic director and senior women’s administrator.

“In working with Kristen over the last four years, we were all impressed with her administrative abilities,” O’Brien said.

Foley led the Owls’ women’s basketball program for five seasons, from 1995-2000, compiling a record of 45-93. She resigned following last season’s 10-18 finish.

She served as head coach of Drexel University’s women’s basketball team prior her arrival at Temple.

Foley was inducted into Hall of Fame at Rutgers, where she was a player and an academic All-American. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sports communications and a master’s degree in educational administration from Rutgers.
